Etling has been good on long throws just not consistent all of the time, especially on shorter throws when there's a rush. There's going to be a lot that coming up from LSU's SEC opponents.

I predict after the Fla game but it could be after Aub, that Brennan will be named the starter. Like it or not, it's probably a good thing. Next year LSU won't be starting an inexperienced QB, he'll have experience. Plus Brennan's release is so damn quick, he's like Brady, can't get to him fast enough.

Brennan may be the only person besides Aranda, that can save LSU's season and Orgeron's job after next year. To do so, next year's QB has to be experienced, and O knows it.

He got his chance and he threw an interception that almost cost us a game.

He ain’t ready.

Not Etlings fault o line is thin, Marcus was right, were not Alabama, hell, we may not be even Vanderbilt.

didn't you listen to CEO after the game

He loves what Danny is doing and wanted to get

MB in the game to see what he has as the back-up when he needs him

Danny standing up he is the QB - stop with the back-up QB stuff - we have other issues

Yes. But its been stated numerous times it wasnt his fault.. He threw ball to proper location but Drake ran the wrong route

I guess people see what they want to see.

I saw a QB that was scared shitless back there with the blitz coming at him. Thank god we had a safe route with Williams right there. MB threw off his back foot once (complete), nearly threw a pick 6, and had piss poor 2.5 step drops b/c his hips weren't square. Glad he's getting some experience and Saturday was huge for his development, getting to feel some pressure.

But lets not kid ourselves. He would shite his pants if we trotted him out there vs Bama, UF, or AU. Not to mention he wouldn't walk off the field with this line.

That pick wasn't entirely his fault. WR said as much right after the play.

The bad play still happened but Brennan showed something in his fee drives we've yet to see from Etling.

Spot on! Without improved OL play it doesn't matter WHO you put back there. With time, Etling looked very good Sat night. This team will go only as far as the OL allows - running and throwing.

With that said Brennan appears to be the real deal and I'm sure he will shine in 2018.

Etling's CPU is slower and can't make state of the art quick calculations but the software is rugged and reliable.

Brennan's CPU is is state of the art fast but has a few software glitches that need to be purged.

Etling will be the starter the duration of this season if healthy.

Brennan/Narcisse QB battle in camp for the starting gig next year.

Uhhh, that’s exactly what the safe route it for, and Brennan made the right decision.

Whether he expressly admits it or not, Ogeron is (in large part) playing for next year. Many of his comments/actions indicate as much:

His statement that they didn't place any championship goals on this team

His vocal desire to make sure Brennan plays important snaps every game even though he has a 5th Senior QB

His statement that they can't do certain things at WR because the guys we have aren't good enough

The essential waving the white flag early in the 3rd vs. MSU

I'm not saying O is right or wrong in that approach, but that's just the sense I get from him. Therefore, I think he'll stay with Etling as long as LSU still has a "chance" in the SEC. Unless they lose to Troy (which isn't completely out of the realm of possibility I suppose) Etling will start vs. Florida. If he wins that game he will start vs. Auburn, etc. However, I think his next loss will be his last as LSU's starting QB. If/when that happens O will officially turn the page to next season and let Brennan take the reigns.
