Forget the Wade discussion. There is absolutely ZERO reason to bring McMahon back next season. He’s unequivocally the worst coach in the SEC and has sunk LSU to the worst program in the conference cumulatively in his three seasons. Great players aren’t going to want to have their careers sunk by McMahon and donors won’t throw significant “good” money after bad.
The “increased NIL commitment” is complete BS pushed by the AD to cover for the fact he fricked up big time and can’t raise the funds to end this colossal waste of time. McMahon will be fired after next season and will go down as the worst HC of any major sport in the last 60 years

I’ve never been more apathetic about LSU basketball in my life. It has nothing to do with losing Wade. It has everything to do with this guy sucking absolute arse and there being no end in sight.

I thought FSU would go after Wade, but they didn’t. He’ll be a little ways down the lists for Indiana & Virginia. He’ll be way up on NC State’s list.
I do think Wade would come back to LSU in a heartbeat. He knows the fanbase would be fired up immediately, but the biggest thing would be a chance to leave his mark on new facilities. He’d have full input on all the new practice facilities, offices, training and weight rooms that will be built in the next few years.
Increased NIL will not fix the mess we have right now. Next year is setting up to be just like Johnny Jones last season. No point in not making a change right now.

He definitely won't. He said last year that he was already topping out here because we weren't committed. We've proven that we're even less committed now by having a shitty coach for 3 years with limited NIL and keeping him around even though his tenure is already dead but we're just too lazy to call it.

IMO he's higher on UVA's list than you would think.
He's very familiar with the state, and he'd win big there.
I think he'll be at Texas NC st or UVA next year. I'm praying for a miracle he'll end up back with us.
