I vote to have a team HaKa, even brief! I said this years before Fahoko came. The HaKa is so cool! That pre Georgia HaKa got me jacked! His Dad doing the HaKa was freaking cool!

I was thinking along the same lines....particularly watching Grant Delpit in the background going along with the motions...

it would be amazing to see this during warmups...

No. This isn’t some gimmick for everyone. Respect to their culture.

Also, how about they beat Miss St before people worry about BAMA

Isn’t about a gimmick bro, it’s about respecting your team mate background and also getting jacked up to beat bama!

I have seen this idea brought up a couple of times in the last 24 hours, and inevitably there is someone who will say, "We aren't Hawaii." True, we are not. But, we do have someone on the team who strongly identifies with the tradition; he also strongly identifies with being an LSU tiger. He and his family are all heart.

I have taught students of that culture who have shared the experience with their peers and it turned out to be a wonderful way to enhance our sense of community. Made us stronger...sort of like one team, one heartbeat. Yet, if the team did it as a one-off before the Bama game for instance, then I would see it as a simple gimmick that can be seen as disrespectful. I am not suggesting it be something that we do regularly, but I do think there should be some education behind the tradition for the team (and for the fans).

Apologies for posting this here as it is not sports related, but this is an example of the Haka being used as a bond between two cultures. Worth watching to the end: Wedding Haka

LSU should do the Haka before the start of the third quarter of the Bama game, then let Mike the Tiger loose on the field. Let's go all out this year with the game being in Tiger Stadium!!!!
