This is a nightmare. I really hope people are beginning to take this seriously. I still know people comparing this to the flu and I want to strangle them.

That’s cuz the flu is worse in most cases. But corona is easier to get meaning more people will be at risk battling a serious illness that can be lethal.

Why wouldn't one compare the two? Both caused by a virus. Highly contagious. Symptoms are very similar. It's strange to not compare this to the flu.
We've had 700,000 flu hospitalizations since oct. 2019 yet this is overwhelming hospitals when, as of today, there are less than 3000 cases which are considered serious or critical? Also they are no longer reporting state by state recoveries, only deaths. Something strange is going on in this country when we're shutting down business and ruining a strong economy because of a virus that might kill 80 year olds.
