Wait. If he saw Fulton pour the “fake sample out” then fill the cup with his own and turned that cup in, the Fulton did not “attempt to cheat”.

Not this argument again. He got caught with a false sample and poured it out. That’s the definition of “attempting to cheat.”

Think about this. The rule to punish an athlete for cheating the test is tougher than the rule is for cheating the game and taking PEDS.

Everyone is looking at it as one big punishment for cheating the test. It’s actually one punishment for failing the test and another punishment for attempting to cheat on the test.

He didn’t. He was clean of PED’s from what I understand. He had THC n system and was mistaken on what the test was for. That’s what i was told anyway

He didn’t fail the test. Savion failed by refusing to take it. That’s why he will be on the field this year

but to insinuate that we are the next Kentucky this year both in regard to how good the BB team is or the lack of interest in football is ridiculous and are probably only made by people who just dont know what the heck is going on in this city.
Ebridg3......Tell us all the truth of what's really going on in this city.

The opinions of BR residents are as varied as those on here.

Just about all that I talk to are very "Guarded" about what will happen with LSU football.

What we want to happen and what we think will happen are not the same.

No split opinion about Will Wade/LSU Basketball. It's all positive.........

The vast majority of BR residents are much more concerned and interested in LSU football, whether they feel good or bad about it, then those who really care one way or the other about basketball.

It amazes me that LSU doesn’t have a PR professional on staff for athletics

The ADs communications office has about 15 people in it

and like most jobs at lsu, they probably all require a masters degree in the field but no proven field experience at a different company

Is this the same guy that went on Finebaum and said LSU fans were more interested in the upcoming basketball season than football?

You say this like it isn't true.

This is on Fulton, not the NCAA or anybody else.

thats because that is exactly what happened.

people saying that the NCAA is banning him for two years for smoking weed are retarded. or possibly stoned.

Getting caught cheating or refusing is considered a failed test. So he did fail the test which he was punished for and then he was caught trying to cheat which he is also being punished for.

I think it is BS punishment and way to harsh but if it is the rule and he broke the rule and that is the punishment then he will have to serve it.

If an independent media outlet is properly doing its job, all of the PR in the world won’t spin it. It’s not Rabalais’ job to carry LSU’s spin and if he’s doing his job correctly then the LSU-fed narratives fail.

Furthermore, he didn’t write the headline on the story. Writers at newspapers and newspaper websites don’t write their own headlines. Copy editors do that.

Before you start blaming the media, educate yourself on what the media’s role is in covering a local team. 104.5 ESPN is different because it is owned by the same company that owns the flagship station of the LSU network. They can only go so far because of their business relationship. They are paying for LSU’s content. All The Advocate does is pay for ad space in some of LSU’s stadia. They can be more critical and independent if they choose and they have been since the Manships sold the paper.

The system doesn't make sense

It makes perfect sense. If the punishment for trying to cheat the system is the same as it would have been for the violation then everyone is going to try and cheat the system.
