Potential grad transfer RB Jeremy Smith(Louisville)
Posted by smash williams on 12/12/17 at 12:12 am315
He's originally from Louisiana, New Orleans area I believe. He's a big back(6-2, 225) that had a foot injury last season.

Bringing him in wouldn't hurt. We could certainly use the depth, if nothing else.

He'd be exactly what LSU needs for 2018, a veteran back to go along with Brossette and Edwards-Helaire.
We wouldn't have to rely on one of the freshmen to come in and contribute immediately

Has there been any interest on LSU’s end?

I am going to give Coach O a call in the morning. Tell him that he needs to take a look at this. We on the rant have given him the go ahead.

Meh, barely 650 yards and 11 TD's at Louisville over two seasons. I know he's a local guy but he's not a take. We have better on the roster and soon to be on the roster.

Every RB on our roster currently is better than him. We are going to sign 3 backs - we aren’t as desperate as the rantards are leaving you to believe.

Our 2011 team had:
Spencer Ware: 707 yards 8 TDs
Michael Ford: 756 yds 7 TDs
Alfred Blue: 539 yds 7 TDs
Kenny Hilliard: 336 yds 8 TDs
Expect RB by committee in 2018 as well with a lot of rushing yards coming from the WR position also. The difference will also be that we will be more pass centric vs years past.

He wasn't exactly the center of their offense......i wonder why he didn't get the ball more?.......hmmmmmmmm..
sarcasm morons! Jackson got it on every play for Louisville.

6.7 ypc as a Jr with 18 catches in very limited time
Would take. If he’s good, he plays. If not, he doesn’t. Nothing hurt

What happened to BJ Emmons from bama? Seems like his offer list sucks now.

how come this guy gets a 8-1 upvote ratio agreeing with OP who got a 2-12 downvote count.

So why would he want to transfer when the need for a back has grown on the team he is currently on? I guess he feels he will come to LSU and we will be more run-oriented than Louisville.

And the QB position
I've posted this a lot recently since it's getting closer to 2018 and discussion of the QB spot. Here's what we have to work with:
Brennan's HS stats:
165 TDs, 25 INTs (14 INTs during sophomore year), 15,027 yards
67.3% completion, 15.3 YPC, 357 yards per game
1,141 yards rushing, 6.1 YPC, 23 TDs
Brennan's JR/SR season he had 110 TDs and 11 INTs. That's staggering.
Narcisse stats (FR, soph season and 3 games as JR before knee injuries):
64 TDs/22 INTs, 5433 yds
55.6% compl, 15.5 YPC, 181 YPG
2344 yards rushing, 5.8 YPC, 34 TDs
Brennan was the #6 pro prospect and Narcisse was the #9 DT and would have been much higher if he had played his full JR and SR season. Narcisse is a RS freshman so he has his full 4 years of eligibility.
This is the most QB talent we've had in a very long time. The question is what Canada can do with these guys. I'm optimistic as most LSU fans should be.
