I have a feeling Kelly Bryant wont be as good as everyone thinks without all the insane talent surrounding him.

I could be wrong....

If he can’t beat out Kelly Bryant he shouldn’t play QB.

Lindsey Scott should be playing at a lower level.

Unfortunately, Lindsey Scott was no more Harvard academic material than he was SEC QB material. IIRC, he got a 25 on his ACT. That is good enough to get into LSU - barely.

One of my kids got a 35 on the ACT, had all A's through HS except for about 5 classes she had B's, got perfect 5's on all 7 AP courses, was a starting varsity athlete, applied to Harvard and...crickets! A 25 might get you in Harvard if you're wanted badly enough by the football coach, but can you imagine going to class with everybody significantly smarter than you?

He never believed the job was his

If no one would’ve come in they would have just converted to the wildcat.

Kids like Lindsey Scott should stay instate and dominate at Louisiana or LaTurd. Instead of going to Syracuse or any other mid level Big12, Pac12 or ACC program.

I should change my statement a bit, he may very well be President of the US. But I feel strongly the opportunities that would be granted him after graduation from a school like Harvard would definitely set him on the path way ahead of where he will be after hopefully graduating from Mizzou.

I was speaking athletically. Fall back prospects normally don’t pan out at major programs, whereas they would be superstars at G5 programs.

Maybe he's just not as good of a qb as he thinks he is lol. He should try changing positions anyway, bc if he does have a future career in football It definitely won't be at qb, with his size and his style of qb play.

I dont think you all realize Harvard doesnt offer scholarships. From the Harvard website:

[quote]Does Harvard offer scholarships?
No. As an Ivy League institution, Harvard does not offer athletic or academic scholarships to students. However, Harvard does provide need-based financial aid to those students who demonstrate financial need. To learn more about applying for financial aid at Harvard, visit LINK ]

He could always compete and earn the job over Bryant. Something a lot of kids seem to be allergic to, these days.

Bryant isn't anything fantastic at the position. And he won't have the same talent around him to make him look better. If Lindsey is worthy of a starting job in this league, he should be able to beat out Bryant. I hope he does. I always liked him.

There being afraid of competition

And losing a competition

People expect players to basically end their career waiting for a shot to win a joband realistically that’s a dumb fricking move on their part if they have other options.

Do you just follow me around and downvote me? You aren't even really making a counter point to what I said. I never said players should wait around their whole careers. I didn't think his decision to leave LSU was bad. I was sorry to see him go, but I thought this was probably not the best place for him.

But, at some point, you have to be ready to compete. He's at Missouri. If he can't beat out Kelly Bryant, then what? Go to some tiny school and prove nothing? My whole point is I'm not feeling sorry for the guy because another quarterback showed up. He's going to have to earn it, and why COULDN'T he earn it? If he's worthy, he'll earn it. If not, it was never really meant to be, was it?
