I sound nothing like that guy. I speak excellent English, and I always have proper subject-verb agreement. Anyway, an accent is no reason to hire a coach.

I've heard plenty of people on call in shows praise his accent more than his coaching ability so take that however you want to take it.

I've heard people use "he's one of us" as a justification for hiring him full-time.

Actually, I have heard this many, many times.

I have never heard anyone (Thank God) say "Let's hire him; he's an elite coach."

That's because he is not and never will be.

Hey slippy, his name is Ed Orgeron not "that guy" as u refer to him in your post. How about u teach Coach O proper subject-verb agreement haha (what a gay thing to say on the rant). Who gives a frick about subject-verb agreement when we talking about results on the field. Plus, there's plenty of very well to do supporters of LSU that sound just like Coach O when they talk. Why u feel it's so important to publicize to the rant that u sound nothing like him. I think it's safe to say Coach O's bank roll laughs at yours. Slippy u slipping on what's important which is RESULTS!! Let's talk about what we want the next leader of our football program needs to bring to the table for us to be elite again. The shite u talking is useless. GEAUX TIGERS!!

I've never met anyone else who talks like he does in my years in Louisiana. I don't care about his accent one way or the other, but it isn't the norm in most of Louisiana.

I don't know anyone currently saying this, and I know a lot of people.

For some reason our Cajun fans seem to think hiring Coach O gives us Lagniappe. He's a great O Line Coach and motivator, not a head coach at a major CF school.

You take the government and LSU out of Baton Rouge and you got fricking Alexandia. How's that for culture?

On the same hand, Yaw Yaw is one of us but I don't give a crap he ain't the right coach for us.

Perhaps--rather than saying Coach O talks Cajun (unlike me as well), we should say all of us talk "LSU". I was born in Baton Rouge but moved to DeRidder and then to Alabama and my Dad and I never spoke Cajun--but both of us talk LSU (he graduated from there), as do tens of thousands who either were birthed or converted to GeauxTigerism...

The "talks like us" thing is a strawman developed by people who don't like Orgeron as a way to belittle him.

Ok. Since "we talking" about results on the field, Ed Orgeron has disqualified himself based on the offensive performance and undisciplined behavior against Florida.

Good enough for you?
