as TM7. He's not on the team anymore and the number 7 represents what's great about our defense. He's not great!!!

Yes, because the tradition of #7 being a great defensive back has lasted for all of...um...2 years. Patrick Peterson asked Mathieu to take his number. That's it, that's how long this #7 has been a pride thing.
