If LSU loses Friday, I know they're out. What if they win? Do they automatically advance to the championship game next week? Who plays Saturday if OSU loses to us Friday? The bracket wording has my brain fried.
The 100 downvotes I get will be worth it if one person answers my question. I'm just getting into baseball this year. New to this. Thanks

OSU wins once - they're in

LSU wins twice - they're in

Why is this complicated?

LSU loses... LSU out

LSU wins... LSU & OSU play again Saturday with the winner of that game going to the Finals

Both sides of the CWS are basically a Regional. Friday is game 6 and LSU needs a win to force the game 7.

Beat OSU twice. That's it and that's all

So we have to beat OSU twice? I guess that's my question.

It's double elimination, two brackets. We've lost once, OSU has not lost.
So we need to beat them twice to advance out of our bracket.

There

But i still down voted you

They are confused because of the way the SEC tourney is done. There, the semi-final round becomes single elimination, so the team advancing from the loser bracket does not have to beat the team from the winner bracket twice.

What happens if Kramer dyes his hair to ginger and we tie?

New to this and this dying hair thing has me really confused.

We win, we stay. Lose and we go home.

Win, we play them again, to go home a team must lose twice. OSU has no loses at the CWS, so we have to beat them, then we play them again because the only teams remaining in our side of the bracket is us and them.

Basically, it's we win, we stay and play them again. Win that, they go home and we go to the championship game.

Treat it like a Regional. It's double elimination. We have one loss OSU has no losses. It's not that complicated.

But we could lose twice(once more), and still win the whole thing...

I have mixed emotions about the current format. I liked the old days when the CWS was a straight up double elimination tournament and you had the potential to play any team. Now, you know that you don't see half of the field unless you make the finals and you end up playing the same teams a couple of times if you survive.

That said, I'm glad that they're doing a 2/3 series final instead of the old one game "winner take all" crap.
