Playoff committee chair “USC’s defense has been a concern for us for a while”

Also explained that LSU has had the tougher schedule and tougher defense, committee needs to see more defense from USC vs stronger competition. Having flashbacks of Oklahoma no doubt.

Lincoln has no answer for that, never has

Indont see USC getting the wins we have at all. They would’ve dropped at least 3 at Florida, vs. ole Miss, at Arkansas, at Auburn, and vs. Alabama and we won them all

Nope. He’s a pussy and his teams are soft. He’d be 8-4 at best in a real conference. He’s a typical big 12 style coach. Nice offense until they play a physical defense then they get blown out

USC’s ranking is more about Lincoln and his record in the past of being blown out, more than it is his team.

Glad the committee sees through them. They're #96 in total defense, and most computer/metric based polls have them ranked between 12-16.
With the committees keeping LSU above them, I'm getting more worried about Ohio State/Michigan loser sneaking in.

A non conference champion with no top ten wins, I heard their SOS is horrible, over an SEC champion that had three top ten wins? Remember the committee loves SOS.

I'm not trying to pimp USC here but the committee is borderline retarded. We heard this same shite in 2019.

No, they got it right. USC’s strength of schedule and defense are atrocious!

Alabama is the only game they may have dropped.
Don’t act like anyone on that list outside of Alabama is anything more than a middle of the pack team.
Florida has 5 losses and just lost to fricking vandy
Ole miss is mediocre
Arkansas also with 5 losses, lost to liberty
Auburn has been on the verge of a dumpster fire all season.

When was the last time Lincoln beat a good team? I can't recall a big win when he wad at Oklahoma but I'm probably forgetting

“There’s reasons for USC to be at 5, there’s reasons for LSU to be at 5,” he said. “As we looked at it, the wins over Alabama, Mississippi carried the day more so than the wins over UCLA and Oregon State. As you alluded to, the good win that they had on Saturday was 48-45, I think some of the members of the committee, as we looked at it, wanted to see a little bit more from their defense, as well as the overall strength of schedule from LSU really drove the day.” - Boo Corrigan, Head of Playoff Committee.

LSU dropped from #1 in November 2019 because of the committee's "defensive concerns"
Posted on 11/22/22 at 7:31 pm to LSUTIGERS8181
LSU just needs to win out, no team will be able to come close to their SOS.

4-5 Ark losses were without their star QB. We saw how much he means strength wise vs Ole Miss.

But they beat Utah, who beat USC...

You are only telling half the story after holding A&M to under 200 total yards in O decimating GA offense we moved to #1. Up until that point our defense was absolutely suspect. Remember the running yards of ole miss.

Michigan has played a cupcake schedule and beaten one ranked team all year. The first 3 games were Colorado St, Hawaii and UConn. Not exactly murderers row.
