I'm hoping game two gets so out of hand that some players that seldom play get to play.
Id love to see Schmidt get some work.
Game 2 will probably be a low scoring pitchers duel, assuming it Morrison for CCU

Evans closing Sat is a no no. At that point we may still need him Monday
Here we go again with someone thinking Jay will "save" something. Forget about it. If we are up 1 or 2 at end of game, Evans is coming in.

Exactly, if they are in a position to “close” you “close”

I'm thinking perfect world is Game 1 Anderson 7 IP > Evans 2 IP - win, Game 2 Eyanson 7 IP > Shores 2 IP win.
I don't think he'll use Evans to close out game 1 if we aren't in the lead. But if we do use him for 2 innings in Game 1 he can still throw a few innings in Game 3 if needed.

G-1 Anderson full rest
G-2 AE basically full
If we have a chance to win game 1 you go Evans
Shores being dominating lately helps not have to use Evans

I wouldn't do it, but if you wanted to get creative with it, since AE has thrown so little in Omaha, use him as a closer in Game 1 (this gives Shores and Evans more rest), and then you would still have him available for close or extended relief in Game 3.
Winning game 1 is a massive advantage. Allows you to hold back all of your pitching in game 2 if the offense isn't there.

With a take that bad it’s almost as if you haven’t watched a single game in Omaha.

Game 1 and 2 is going to be the 1A and 1B regardless of the order between Anderson and Eyanson.
I am more curious to see how Jay approaches Evans. Jay loves him in the shutdown/closer role but hes just a very dominant pitcher when used as a starter or in the long relief outings. With Shores really coming on strong in that similar shutdown role that might give Jay a littler more versatility on when/how to use Evans. But that is what I am most curious to see how Jay uses Evans. Starters for Game 1 and 2 is obviously Anderson and Eyanson regardless of the order.

One game at a time...can't think ahead. Saturday is almost a must win because need to start off on the right foot, break that win streak of Coastal, then you just have to win 1 of the next 2. So happy to have to worry about this though.

Will be interesting to see if coastal goes flukey or morrison game 1

Anderson and he won’t hesitate to use eyanson to close sat if needed
If not used eyanson sun
I don’t think we see Evans until sun in relief
Cowan gives you confidence he could start mon if needed

I think you stick with what got you here. Game 1 Anderson. Game 2 Eyanson. CC can rake and It’s the CWS finals. I don’t think we are gonna reinvent the wheel just to get someone “work”. We are setup beautifully for this series. Win this thing in 2 and hoist the trophy

How fricking stupid are you?
