How do yall think Jay sets this up?

Game 1- Anderson on normal rest or Eyanson because he needs the work?

Game 2- likely facing Morrison, Coastal's Ace and probably top 3 SP in the country (RHP thank god)

And what does he do with Evans? Hold him for if nec. or is he available to close out games 1 or 2?

I'd personally go G1-Eyanson, G2-Anderson and holding Evans for a possible game 3, but i see the case for bringing in Casan to close one out.

Have to think it’ll be Anderson, Eyanson, Evans, unless Evans is needed to lock down one of the first two. Cowan could be available to start Monday or at least give 2/3 innings as well.

I think it’s going to be Anderson then Eyanson. Evans will be used to close out a close win in either. It would be nice to think of him as your game 3 guy, but Jay is playing for 2 and will absolutely use Evans in close game.

Anderson has to pitch game one. We all remember from last time how important game 1 is. Than I would pitch Evans in game 2 because Eyanson just hasn't showed me much in Omaha.

It will be Anderson game 1, Eyanson game 2, Evans to close either game if needed. Figure it out when you get to game 3.

UCLA scored 3 runs barely getting the ball out of the infield then Ant locked them down for 2 innings before the rain came.

Also look at the entire season and let's not take a small sample out of context.

Now if we are pitching off to avoid Morrison, I could see that arguement but Eyanson is gonna be fine

This is isn’t the same scenario. We were short handed on pitching in 2023 and they had a top 7 draft pick waiting to pitch game 2.

That’s not the case this year. But I won’t be mad jf we go ahead and win game 1.

Anderson
Eyanson
TBA

Don’t overthink it. Evans pitches G3 if available. Cowan gets the ball if not

Evans closing Sat is a no no.
At that point we may still need him Monday

If you have a chance to win you pitch your best. You don't hold players for possible games. Evans closes game 1. Shores closes game 2. You figure out game 3 if you get there.

LOL. I thought "Than" in that position over "Then" was pretty bad too.

"Than I would pitch Evans in game 2 because Eyanson just hasn't showed me much in Omaha."

Game 1 will be Anderson. Go with your ace and get that first game.

Game 2 Eyanson.

Situationally who comes in after the starters will depend on when in the game and flow. For example, if in game one Anderson is locking them down and can get us 6/7 innings with us up +3 who comes in is different than if we only get 4/5 innings out of him.

If in game two we have a path to win it we play to win it all in two. Burn whatever arms are needed to finish Sunday night.

I'm hoping game two gets so out of hand that some players that seldom play get to play.
