K adams is predicted to start at DE. Also says we wont win 9 games this year.

Phil is about as accurate as they come. I think 9 wins, or 8.5 is pretty much the O/U for LSU this year

He bases alot of his picks according to schedules. LSU has a tough one plus an inferior QB. 4th in the West sounds about right.

He was the only one of the preseason mags to pic LSU to win the SEC in 2003. His Mag is loaded with info. (very thick) The guy knows college football. If you read between the lines I think he was trying to be nice when he said we wont match 9 wins from last year.

Honestly, I agree that all of the publications are a joke, but Phil seems to be the best.

Yea he's different than other preseason mags and that's what I like about him. He predicts how the teams will be at the end of the season as opposed to just ranking the top 25 regardless of who they play, what conference, etc.
Also, anyone who scoffs at his predictions clearly doesn't read the guy's mag. There is more info in that magazine than all other preseason mags combined.

I won it last year as part of a radio contest trivia answer. It was very thorough, but it was also very annoying. Every third sentence is Steele blowing himself for past predictions.
