You realize we don't need 4 QBs? If these guys are transferring, its because someone stepped up and is taking the reigns at QB.

Its sad to see these guys go, but this is what we wanted/needed to happen a few weeks out from the season - someone stepping up and taking the job.

I, for one, was concerned we had an "open competition" with 4 guys heading into the season.

We comin'

Dont come to the Rant with that kind of good reasoning... It is still in meltdown mode from the 3rd and 4th string qb transferring!

I'm mean sure, it's nice to know that the guy you brought in looks the part. We all saw the Spring game and had the same concerns.

But you don't want to lose half of your capable QB's. We need McMillan to stay at this point. I really think he would be the next man up. I have to think that O's ideal scenario is to red shirt Brennan if possible. That probably won't happen now.

I agree.

Need to go after 1-2 qbs a year, every year.

I don't think it's a good thing at all. I don't think it marks the downfall of the program, but I certainly wouldnt call it a good thing. I was excited to see what Narcisse could bring to the team and think he could have been useful to give some different looks to Alabama, who has traditionally struggled with QBs that can move.

Even if you hate Coach O, you have to give him credit for his willingness to change things up at the QB position. Miles would still be beating the same drum, example Jordan Jefferson

Good is a strong word and disagree with that in of itself. I'll never be happy losing QB depth with what we've gone through the last decade. I think we also lose the packages that had been set up for him this year that could have really helped our run game out. It's just pretty concerning that with an SEC schedule you're down to 2 scholarship QBs. Not to mention that Brennan will likely have to play at some point this year and if he plays enough can't redshirt. If Burrow is here for 2 years Brennan doesn't play until he's a senior.

That said, it looks like Burrow has the job for the next 2 years assuming he doesn't light it up and go pro, and even then we've got Brennan for another at least year after that. By that time we'll have Parish and Finley in that should have at least a year under their belt.

No, we don’t need 4. But three would have been nice. Who’s is QB 3,4 on the depth chart now?

I actually do agree with this point, I too was pumped to see LN on the field this year but it is what it is...

Miles brought in and started 2 different transfer quarterbacks in his final 5 years.

I agree. im disappointed bcuz I am a LN fan, but this is college football. he could've gotten booted for something or torn a knee again. only 2 qb's will play (barring injury) and a 3rd will see action during severe blowouts. these things happen. now the prep time is less diluted and O and E can move forward more aggressively with even less chance of hurting feelings/stepping on toes. hate to see LN go, but next man up. maybe this helps us to recruit another qb we wouldn't have gotten due to numbers. face it, we saw a transfer coming.

LN staying would have been nice because we could have more easily RS Brennan.

We still can but the staff has to be smart about it which isn’t their strong suit.

Maybe it's not a good thing!
Maybe it's not a bad thing either!
Maybe it's just football

I've never seen so much talk about the 3rd & 4th string qb before.
