For 04/0U, the Superdome was about 52-48 LSU/OU.

For 08/OSU, about 55-45 LSU/OSU.

For 12/Bama, I think it was about like OU, with a slight edge to LSU.

Thinking maybe 60-40 LSU for 20/Clemson.

What are y'all thinking?

The "home game" effect is real, but with New Orleans as a destination, the narrative that we have a dominant home field advantage is greatly exaggerated, IMO.

Now, our energy level might skew it to about 70-30 from a sound/energy fan persective.

Probably old news for Clemson...They’ve been there, done that a number of times...I’d say at least 60/40 LSU.

I was at all of those games. No way Oklahoma had close to 48% in '04. The crowd heavily favored LSU. Same in '08. It was a little closer in '12.

Ticket costs significantly impact home field advantage. If the costs were similar to the peach bowl it would be closer to 65/35 I would think

Each school gets 20k tickets. Of the remaining 35k tickets, I'm guessing 30k go to LSU fans and 5k go to Clemson, so probably 50k LSU to 25k Clemson or 2-1 LSU.

Clemson travels well, but they have a much smaller fan base than the other teams we've faced in New Orleans for Championship games.

Outside of the stadium will be more like 10-1 LSU.

No matter the split the emotional connection Louisiana has with this team is going to have the LSU fans in attendance loud as anything.

You could hear it against OU, the boos coming from the fans in Atlanta made it sound like a home game for the Tigers. You could not hear anyone cheering at all.

70/30 LSU. Clemson will basically only have their 20,000 seats and the rest will be pretty much for LSU. Even the corporate usually neutral people will be rooting for "America's team"

I agree. I have blocked the stadium experience out of my mind, but I remember walking around the city before the game thinking there were more bama fans than LSU fans.

I believe this is probably accurate. I would say that 5k of the remaining tickets are just to others (people who just want to watch football)

Also, in 2012, Bama outnumbered LSU, perhaps 60-40

I'm thinking somewhere between this and 65/35.

Back-to-back national championship game appearances will dampen Clemson turnout due to fan fatigue.

50/40 LSU

The remaining 10% will be arrogant bama fans that assumed they were going back this season.

52/48??? How did you get to that science? Seriously. Who cares. I’m pretty sure the team will perform great no matter what you science equals!

Went to all 3 -

My guesses -

04 was between 60/40 and 55/45 in LSU's favor

08 was 60/40 LSU

12 was between 60/40 and 55/45 in Bamas favor. It was shocking to me that Bama had more than we did.

If LSU fans don't make up at least 70% of the crowd in the Superdome, I'll be very disappointed. We traveled very well for the Peach Bowl, so I'm hoping that we'll have at least 50K in NOLA.

Edit: Typo. Meant to say 50%.

Superdome seats around 74k. You expect LSU to have 70% of the crowd, and that total to somehow be around 30-35k?

I think we will have around 65% (48k). This LSU team and Burrow are special, we all want to be there for it and easy travel in state, and many like me are flying in to be there to see the special season end with a Championship.
