A nice change from 07.

I think the O is for overrated. I really don't think we would have a good defense with him. I think they had a much better defense this year at Ole Miss. HMMMMM

At least Ogre-on wouldn't be in charge of anybody but defensive players. He can yell at them and get in their face all he wants unlike QBs.

you know, i saw two kids running around at the park with saints jerseys on the the name "yaw-yaw" on the back since i am new to mandeville I never thought anything of it
personally, i prefer orgeron over chavis.

This might be the "O" that I like.

Would be a great addition to Miles's staff. Coach O would be able to recruit like no other currently on staff. It would also be a shame if he went to Tennessee and we would have to recruit against him. LSU needs this kind of coach on staff.

Let me translate this article for you:
translation: back channels have contacted him to gauge his interest and he is considering a move to LSU if officially offered a job
translation: I don't have a firm offer from LSU yet and I am protecting myself if I don't get one better than what I got right now with the Saints
translation: I have plenty of money and a good life right now so if any of you (LSU, UT, etc) really want me you better be willing to do what it takes to come and get me
translation: I don't really want to go to UT but the threat of it is a bargaining chip with LSU
translation: all that BS over Keiland and Joe McKnight is in the past
translation: there are no WILDBOYZZZZ in the NFL and I miss tearing my shirt off and ripping shite up
translation: I want to be at LSU and I am willing to be the DL coach/recruiting guru to get the job
There, I hope that gives everyone a better understanding of YawYaw's position on LSU

Ed Orgeron said he hasn’t spoken to Miles or anyone from LSU, but he wouldn’t turn the opportunity down if his phone rang.

“I have not been contacted by anybody by LSU and I have a great job with the Saints and love what Sean Payton is doing and really appreciate the opportunity he’s given me,” Orgeron said Monday. “But if something would become available at LSU, being from here and having the great respect I have for the university and people of Louisiana, I’d always be interested in listening to what they had to say.”

Orgeron strikes me as a guy that likes the spotlight and to be out in front. As an NFL position coach you are basically a nobody and all of your players make as much or more than you. So what I think Orgeron misses most is being in a HS coach's office or in a kid's living room and being the MAN. You just don't get that as an NFL position coach, everything is about the players and the HC
so I think Orgeron is ripe for the picking for LSU and he is clearly motivated.

so the consensus is that if O is not hired by LSU, this will be a Miles fail?

I agree with Max on this. The two best options are: Miles hires the best staff possible which includes O, or Miles pretty much keeps things in take and speeds up the Dinardo process.

I'm a girl and all but if ANYTHING is going to happen shouldn't it be REAL soon as to not miss out on the best guys??? I mean, when you decide on Christmas Eve/Day to leave you don't leave a university much if any time to find a coach ... I hope Les has things in the works ...
