I was afraid they were wanting more carries. I'm okay with not over using him. We have a full stable. I like the idea of saving him for the second half.

Well Mizzou is in desperate need of a running game. Wouldn't be ridiculous for him to start there.
I meant that he is not exactly an ideal fit for their offense. It wouldn't surprise me if he's a talent upgrade over their current backs.

I've only read the OP in this thread, but I understand the concern. He's taken a pretty good beating with the best 3-4 defenses we will face still to come. That said, I always felt like this was gonna be his year to be showcased. For 1, out of necessity--it is our best chance to win games. But 2, it will give Harris and the receivers and Guice time to get ready to carry more if the load.
I think they ride him hard this year, give the Heisman a shot x b then reign him back in next year, making him "fresh" and getting him ready for the NFL. I think he'll have significantly less carries and yards his junior year than this.

LaDainian Tomlinson averaged 29 carries per game during his junior and senior seasons. Didn't seem to bother him any.
Herschel averaged 35 per game when he set the SEC record.

Yeah, but will they give him many carries?

Les listens to Fournette more than his camp. If LF wants the ball LF gets the ball
This is the correct answer.

We over do the I formation anyway.
Yeah let's lower the use of the formation that has gotten lsu 95% of our rushing yards. Do you ever have any football posts that aren't rediculous?

He is the nations leading rusher, the Heisman front runner, and on the cover of SI. He's being compared to Herschel and Bo, and generally considered to be one of the most selfless athletes in CFB-and he's a true Sophomore. Do people really think he's unhappy?
Please do not take the bait. Shame on Love for putting this crap out there and tarnishing his reputation and his Heisman run. It's pathetic.

They must not have worried too much when he was

I bet BL saw all of the traction that idiot at ESPN got with the speculation about LF skipping next year and decided to stir the pot a little more.
Apparently pulling stuff out of thin air is journalism now.

Better question, why does a college student have "a camp"?

Devonta Freeman's camp is concerned that he's getting too many carries.
Eddie Lacy's and Marshawn Lynch's too. Frank Gore's camp is livid and Matt Forte's is fuming.
None of them can believe what just happened to Jamaal Charles. Travesty really.
Tom Brady's wife is pissed about his OL protection and JJ Watt's agent is wringing his hands over concussions.
Where does it stop?
Don't forget about all the d-line camps across the NFL. They are upset they can't pop fireworks anymore.
