People, it's one game!

Yes, the horror stories are many. Mental mistakes. A few bad attitudes. Getting beat on both sides of the line all night. Tackling issues all night. Complete lack of LB play. Fumbles. Blocked kicks. Getting out "physicalled" in all aspects.
But ... we are one game into the new era. The talent was weak. The culture was bad. New coaching staff. Many new players. None of which are excuses, but they are factors to ci=onsider.
Kelly is trying to install a culture and mindset. Some won't like it and will check out and find new places to play (Boutte?). Others will adapt and work hard and get better individually. Eventually the team will be made up of kids that have the right attitude and put out the effort. It's recruiting, player development, cultural change - it takes time.
This game was a dose of reality for those who thought "we have a lot of talent, so we should win 10 or 11 games." It's not just talent. Lots of things were broken and it's going to take time to fix.
It was one game. There was plenty to be excited about (Daniels, Mason Taylor, the kid at LT actually played pretty well - he'll be a great one. Transfer CBs looked pretty solid against a good receiving corps and a very good QB.
One game. It sucks, but give it time. It's going to be a tough year. We'll know much more about where the program is going in December.

They actually are excuses. We lost to a bad team. No way to sugar coat that. Hopefully it gets better but this is the worst start Kelly could have.

Just remember, the board reacts exactly the same after every loss. It will never change.

I am almost as upset about Maason Smith as I am the actual game.

Exactly. I don’t know if I can handle 12…

It's only one game, but it's the only game we've got. Don't try to take it away from us!

Yes, one game filled with one mistake after another. It was constant.
It's all we have to go off of from Kelly's time here, and it almost couldn't have gone worse.
Very understandable how people are extremely pessimistic right now.
The hopium that I'm clinging to is that even with all of those mistakes, they still came just a hair short of getting that game to overtime, after every one of us thought that game was over when FSU went up two scores.
