Does anyone know how many penalties were called against the offense last year as compared to some of the other SEC teams. Data such as delay of game, off sides, retaliation...after the whistle...personal fouls, etc.

No but it "appeared" to be better than the many previous years of head shaking penalties.
Eta...the DOG are the ones that really chap my arse. Especially when it happened after a timeout.

Just looking for a "all penalties on the offense" comparison, not a line item account. Stats are kept on just about everything, so why not this?

LSU is penalized every game that ed orgeron is head coach

The penalties caused by the shifts where overblown.
We had a few early but a lot were holding and a few personal fouls. Stuff that aren’t exactly scheme related.
We had a few offsides, like one or two illegal formations.

Besides the Mississippi State game. We had a few TD’s called back and ton of penalties.

I remember there were an absurd amount of offensive penalties the first few games. It improved after that.

I can't find the specifics of which kind of penalties, but our offensive penalties per game trended down over the season...
September: 7.4/game
October: 6.6/game
November: 3.3/game
So we averaged 5.8 penalties per game on offense, which was tied for 6th in the SEC.

Burnt my arse too. To see miles take a timeout, March back on the field and either have to call another time out or get a delay-of-game, that s*** would piss me off. If your damn quarterback is that confused you need to replace him and play somebody who can actually call the play and not be confused by it or if it was because the coaches were confused, either way, that was bs.

Ughh....and if you are going to be so fricking stubborn to replace him then you better be getting the adjusted play call in a lot fricking faster!!!!!

We were #57 in fewest penalty yards in 2017, #14 in '16, and #104 in '15.
All penalties, by yards. Kinda all over the place.
Penalties by the offense in '17 was 52 yds (60th). I can't find previous years by the offense/defense separately.
KY, TAMU, Arky, UT, Bama, AU, USC all had fewer. So in '17 LSU ranked 8th in offensive penalty yards in the SEC and 5th in the West.
That's all I got.

We once had to call a timeout after a kickoff to avoid a delay of game under Miles

Felt like someone was pulling my teeth with no anesthesia watching that bs.
What was just as frustrating was watching the offense march down the field and get in the red zone and then get back to back delay of game or false start penalties, I was ready to pull my hair out.
I once saw us get to the 3 (1st & goal), miles is arguing on the headset, has to call timeout, come out of timeout and run a dive for no gain then followed it with play action rollout to the TE for a TD. Bet my bottom dollar dive was miles call and TD was Cameron's call and cost the team a timeout arguing over that bs.
