Cost savings all the way around for the salaries they replaced. Very thrifty Scotty.

I like it.

Probably perfect numbers. Bet we doubled each of their salary's, if not tripled Peetz.

$1.2 million for a guy who did not appear to have a big OC market seems quite steep. Especially considering you paid your last OC $800k and the (de facto) OC in 2019, Brady, $400k. This is a big opportunity for Peetz and one I'm not quite sure anyone else was willing to give him. I would have liked to have seen LSU give him more of a "prove it" contract with significant incentives. If he does, THEN you have a lower floor from which to bump up his salary to get him to stay (if necessary). This seems like a bit of an overpay (though not as gross as the one for Pelini) for a guy without tremendous demand. Particularly, when you know you probably will have to pay quite a bit to get your #1 choice on defense, Freeman, because he DOES have tremendous demand

Its not steep at all, you just don't understand how markets work.

should have offered pelini the same contract. No one else would have even paid him this much less 2 million. Thanks Scott

Like paying Orgeron $9 million a year because several NFL owners are in their planes in Baton Rouge with the most recent bid at $20 million year for 10 years guaranteed.

Titles/job descriptions really mean nothing

Brady was a difference maker b/c he took the WRs, QB, and RB, and had them all on the same page

He identified which receivers had the best overall ability to first know where they needed to be, and secondly, catch the ball w their hands, and this included the RB position

I personally watched the drills he put the receivers through. A noticeable difference from previous teams.

Saban used LSU game film from last year and incorporated the formations, RPOs, picks, etc into their offense. This was all done virtually w Jones, the receivers, and Harris prior to even taking the field

It was implemented on the field, not learned. This is easier to do when you have a clear cut QB, receivers, and backs, like LSU does now.

The amazing thing is that AL never needed Mac Jones as a running option on RPOs or just a plain rusher to force the defense to respect him as such.

Their OL was just that good. And that’s the only reason I give Ohio St a chance Monday night. If their D can slow AL down at all, Ohio St can score on AL’s D. And giving Ohio St that extra defender could be a problem.

But of course, Jones could take off and show some Burrow like abilities w his feet. At that point, Ohio St would need to do their best Saban tactical assault, punish Jones. He has went fairly untouched this season

Yes

Good deal for everybody.

I hope we will want to pay him more after next season.
