Mainieri was invited to attend the World Series games tonight and tomorrow by the assistant GM of the Cubs, Randy Bush. They played together at UNO under Ron Maestri.
Also one of Mainieri's former Notre Dame players, reliever Jeff Manship, plays for the Indians.
He was going to give the LSU players a long weekend off anyway so he won't miss any practices.

Baseball team has the weekend off, probably will be hanging out at the bars.
Purple Gold World Series is next Thurs Fri and Sun and that will wrap fall ball.
Apparently PM was at the Bartman game as well back in the day.
