No matter what you think, Mainieri had more success as the head coach of LSU than almost any other coach can say they had over that same time period.

Any coach that brings home a National Championship to LSU deserves respect.

They are paying out his contract from what I understand. So he’ll probably be around a good bit. At all the games & such. Honestly he will be good for Johnson the first year or two, since Johnson has no familiarity on what SEC baseball is

I hope JJ isn’t so overwhelmed by how much better the Box is than parks outside of the SEC that he doesnt help build the momentum to improve up to the standard of the top of the conference.

I wasn’t aware that JJ was shorter than PM. The streak of shortest coach in SEC will continue. Not that it matters just kind of funny.
