Yeah I know it’s baseball, but LSU is like 28-2 vs Nicholls in baseball. Doesn’t bode well.

Skip lost quite a few of these midweek games while dominating college baseball in the 90’s. It’s not a big deal as long as you’re winning on the weekend.

First, no, he’s not saying that. He made a very clear point, which is that the 2009 team losing to Nichols proves that losing to Nichols is not a disqualifying event. He was correct.
Second, the rant clamored for more bats in the infield. I kept posting that it would not take much deterioration of our defense to neutralize the additional hitting we would get. Well, here you see it. We weakened third and shortstop in order to trade Dugas’ bat for Hughes’. Worth it? I doubt it.

I don’t understand why people are shocked we didnt hit.
We know these players. Our best hitter might end up being a Juco player that literally no other major program recruited.
Our success this season will come down to winning low-scoring games behind great pitching.
