There will be three games we care about on championship Saturday.

11:00am - Texas vs. Oklahoma/West Virginia
3:00pm - Alabama vs. Georgia
7:00pm - Northwestern vs. Michigan/Ohio State

Texas will be a slight underdog. Alabama will be a huge favorite. Northwestern will be around a 10-point dog. If those three teams win, there's a very good chance LSU could make the playoff.

Agree completely

Texas is likely not much of a dog if it's against WVU and preferably it's against WVU so that Big 12 is all but eliminated before the championship

UW could play spoiler and eliminate the Pac 10 as well before championship weekend

The one thing that is pretty unlikely to happen is the NW win in the championship but it's certainly possible. Neither UM or OSU have looked invincible

Yep. We need Washington to take care of Wazzu Friday night, because I think if the Cougs make the championship game they'll win it against whatever south opponent.

And yeah, definitely cheering for West Virginia against OU next Friday. WVU losing to Oklahoma State yesterday was big, because it means Texas is in the Big 12 championship no matter what if they beat Kansas next week.

Just get me to that game Saturday night with everything still in play

I wonder how much we move up after beating Rice. I think we could be number 5.

Playoffs? Do you really want to watch E call plays against Bama for another 4 quarters? Did the other 8 quarters not teach you anything?

It's in Morgantown and OU's defense can't stop anyone. OU will likely only be a small favorite.

We look like a completely different team now than we did in the Bama game... so yea I’d like to see us whoop up on Bama.

A lot of the discussion has centered on UCF. Tuesday evening, we will get some insight into what the committee thinks of UCF.

This should make the playoff picture much clearer than anything else that unfolds Tues. PM.

Here' the scenario that we need to hope for:

WV > OK (Big12 OUT of playoff picture)

Northwestern wins conference championship game (Big10 OUT of playoff picture)

Ala whips Georgia in SEC championship game or Ala loses to Auburn and Georgia (Ala or Georgia in playoffs)

That would put LSU in the top 4. I think Northwestern beating The Ohio State or Michigan is going to be the key. If that happens along w other we're in.

Tigers need to focus on the Aggies. That game is going to be a WAR! Can't wait!!!!

What, just because of last night what games have you watched since the Bama debacle? If you’re going off last night you will be mighty disappointed thinking it will be a much different scenario.

B.S. ND is IN. They beat Michigan head-to-head. There is no way they drop out of top4. Their win over Syracuse was their ticket to the playoffs. They will drum USC anyway. You can talk all you want. Too many Catholics that love college football. LOL

Really? You want the last game of the year to be another savage beating at the hands of Nick? I hope LSU wins at aTm, gets a New Years 6 bowl against anyone other than UCF and finishes on a high note. Much better for the players and fan base.

Who says it would be a savage beating? This team looks completely different than the one that played vs. Bama. Let Lanard run over their asses.

Should’ve beat UF then we wouldn’t have to depend on others to lose.

Should’ve been up 14-0 in that game but O blew it coaching scared.

UCF is getting in before LSU. There's no way the committee is going to put the LSU Bama rematch in the first round (95% of the country won't care) and it's going to be tough to justify putting Bama 2 or LSU 3. And if somehow they meet in the title game, prepare for the lowest rated title game of all time.

NO. LSU will not make the CFP. Had LSU beat Florida and assuming they beat A&M there was a good chance they could have made it. Unfortunately they didn't and that is that. Now having said that LSU is positioned to finish 10-2 regular season. Given the brutal schedule they faced, they have far far exceeded expectations.

Let's all enjoy the remaining season and bowl game.
