I'm not here to knock Pap, just wondering.... Why does he flop around behind the plate rather than crouch like every other catcher I have seen? It isn't on every pitch, just most of them. Not only that, he tends to put up his target just before the pitcher releases the ball.

He appears very awkward. Yesterday he threw to 2nd twice off his knees.

Almost every team we play has a really good catcher. It's gotten to where LSU, which was aggressive on the base pads early in the season, has gone to sacrifice bunting to advance a runner into scoring position.

Pap was a highly recruited defensive catcher. Am I missing something?

Otherwise, great win today! Post season is looking better!

He is a hell of a defensive catcher. Did you see how many balls in the dirt he stopped today?? In crucial situations at that.

Pap has thrown out more runners than any catcher in the conference and has fewer passed balls than anyone else. He is an excellent defensive catcher

Had to throw off his knees bc he had to get rid of it quick as possible. The LSU pitchers kick their leg too high allowing the runners to get a killer jump.

That wasn't awkward--that was his only chance to get the runner. He did that today as Walker was letting them get huge jumps. Pretty darn good throws from his knees.

Pap will be the highest Tiger in the draft with the possible exception of Lange.

Wait wait... are you saying Pap goes ahead of Deichmann?

Tiger fans, I've seen it all. This is the dumbest person on the rant

Garbage post. Watch baseball much? Papierski is a very good defensive catcher.

Enough said, right there.

And it hasn't just been today. It's been all season.

Job well done, Pap.

Are you saying no outfielder has ever been taken before a catcher? Is that your argument?

Why do non-baseball fans act like the know so much about baseball?

Seriously, this happens on here immediately after every LSU game.

$100.00 that Deichmann goes ahead of Papierski. You'll probably never pay up anyway

No of course not.

I am saying catchers with obvious big league talent go higher than most of the outfielders taken in the draft.

Do you doubt that?
