No berry or doughty for protection there is no reason for pitchers to throw to him

Whatever the record is he may break it

Plenty of good options to hit behind him including Tre Morgan

Plus he’s a good baserunner who can turn a walk into a double by running

So I’ll go with NO, he’s no breaking a record for intentional walks

Until someone else can prove themselves I imagine Morgan or Pearson will be hitting right behind him to start the season.
