Our defense has struggled but Ole Miss was an aberration

We were only giving up an average of 100 yards a game on the ground leading up to that game. I’m worried about our D but I don’t think the Ole Miss game indicates much of anything other than we had a rough night.

We have won every game this year. As a fan of a 10-0 team you shouldn’t “worry” about our D. You should probably kick back and enjoy the ride

The D is fine, we just need a game to light a fire under their asses.

I expect they come out hungry to prove something this weekend.

I wish i could be "whatever" about teams I root for. That sh*t is hard for me. Im always "we gotta fix ___ or its gonna get us beat" every week.

We had better get that shite fixed before Ohio State or Clemson light us up.

Our defense is very strong in some great categories. We are very good at stopping people on 3rd down for instance.

Our biggest downfall is big plays of over 10+ yards. We rank in the bottom half of the country in all categories of 10+, 20+, 30+, etc.

We have seen it all year and the stats do not lie. For the vast majority of plays we are the same strong LSU defense we are used to, but we are extremely susceptible to giving up the big plays this year.

Well the first step is understanding that as fan you aren’t going to fix anything when your team is 10-0.

This D is prone to giving up big runs. Vandy and Auburn both hit us for some explosive running plays.

I think to be that bad against inferior talent, we were underprepared and out-coached on that side of the ball. So yeah, probably an aberration.

that’s the part that bugs me most. There is no excuse for that. But hopefully it was an aberration and not a continuing trend- because there have been similar breakdowns in most of the other games we’ve played til now. None as glaring as Ole Miss though. Just hope it gets better and fast- if we have any hope for competing for an NC to go along with Joe’s Heisman.

We have been guilty of poor tackling for a while now.
REMEMBER the ND game when the D player just tried to bump the other player out???
he then swiveled and ran for the winning TD??

Practice does not make perfect
Perfect practice makes perfect.

The minor details MUST be drilled in practice or they will not be corrected in the games.

Yes we are 10-0 great, but we are in the down one and out mode for the season. Arky will not test us but A&M could some.
GA definitely will.

Our defense is really bad but it looks like we will make it to the playoffs at minimum anyway because our offense is really awesome. No harm in admitting the obvious.
