Hot take I know but these kids will get their heads out of their asses and improve.

Pelini is a radical change for these young guys and they are mindfricked already by the climate, my bet is that things have become toxic but leaders who buy in should emerge.

I used to say this every week during the 90's and then Saturday rolled around.

Can’t get any worse? We have upcoming games against much more talented teams. Don’t count your chickens.

Worst defense in LSU history...against some really bad teams. But you are right about one thing. It can not get any worse.

98 & 99 were my Jr and Sr years at LSU. Those defenses never really got any better. I don't know if that's what the rest of this year is going to look like but we haven't really even seen any great offenses yet.

This is a throw away year. Don't expect a few leaders to make a difference with a whole team. Attit
Attitudes are different these days. Or, have you forgotten how many college players demanded to get 'paid before they played.

Pelini once gave up 70 to Wisconsin

So you would be incorrect. It can absolutely get worse.

You sure. All we have done so far is play the 3 worst teams on the schedule. Not sure how it’s gonna get any better.

I can't imagine what Kiffin will do to us.

We know Saban is going to bury us after last season.

Oh boy, just wait. We haven't even gotten to the teams yet in our schedule that actually have good offenses. It's gonna be bad.

that you are wrong. Right now they are making plays sometimes, other times not and giving up huge single-play frick ups. That can quickly become "frick it, why bother". See Arkansas last two years.

In my experience defensive coaches all came out of the same crevice, wearing the old style bike coaches shorts, socks over their calves, whistles around their neck, and cracked voices because they never use their whistles and are always yelling at somebody to hit them. Bo ain't nothing new to these guys. Aranda was the oddball. Bo... they've seen this before.

One thing we're doing good on defense almost certainly will get worse. We're creating turnovers at a likely unsustainable pace.

You’re assuming that want to play. I’m not convinced they want to play this year.

+3 in turnovers against Missouri. How do you do that and still lose?

He might try to keep it close so we keep Pelini another year.

Going to need to be almost perfect on offense with long ball control scoring TD drives.

This may help the defense.
