Our compliance department is shady and not for the players

The same shite happened before the Tennessee basketball game. Someone in compliance thinks they’re getting brownie points from the NCAA for busting players before big games. This could’ve waited a week.
Huge blow for us all. Other programs don’t have this shite before big games. This needs to change because if other schools aren’t punishing for weed like we are then we need to re-evaluate this rule in our favor.
Cam Robinson had stolen guns in his car and played against USC in the opener. Give me a fricking break.
Sorry, I’m pissed.

What a ridiculous take. Compliance exists to make sure the actions of a few don’t frick over the whole team/program.

Isnt it parochial and backwards to kick kids off the football team for smoking pot? It isnt performance enhancing and it's legal now in so many jurisdictions. Moronic, obsolescent rule.

The Rant is quick to pile on and criticize Bama for the way they handle their players, until we are in a similar situation.
Divinity had ample opportunity to keep this from happening. He didn't. The only person to blame is himself.

You should be mad at the player and not the rules. Just cuz Bama cheats we should too? Nah, its a players responsibility to stay clean..specially a player heading into draft next year. He’s an idiot and if I was a player On this team who followed rules whether right rule or stupid rule, I’d be pissed because his decision cost us a better chance to win. We are not a better team today because he is not on it.

Well they just ensured that happening

No they aren't you idiot. They're calling out the double standard.

Yes, if Bama is doing it and we know they are systematically getting away with it, we should not disadvantage ourselves by being fricking holier than thou.

So then LSU must be the only school in the SEC that has players who smoke weed I guess. You know, since this never happens to any other team.

This isn’t cheating. The NCAA does not test for weed. It’s a school policy that could easily be changed.

Kicking a player off a team for committing a misdemeanor is stupid as frick.

Why have rules if you’re just going to apply them when they have no impact?

Hmmm, then why did they just raise the THC threshold for drug testing?
https://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/ncaa-increases-thc-testing-threshold
quote:
The decision comes as THC concentrations in commercially produced cannabis plants are on the rise and as the drug is being legalized in more states, a combination poised to expose college athletes to more potent secondhand smoke. The move to 35 nanograms per milliliter also mirrors the standard in effect in several major professional sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA and WNBA.

Just WTF is going on at LSU? Are we the only school with torpedoes in the "compliance department"?
