You know, Ed, if you did what you promised and only hired the best coordinators rather than 2 guys who have never called played before at this level, they wouldn’t have to grow each week.

I thought Glen Logan was out for the season. Him returning next week is great news

So close to hitting my bingo card for "Peetz and Jones are sleeping in the office".

I imagine that TDP will get the first reps of the first series but then Kiner comes in. I really think Kiner should be the first back off the field to get this team to start fast again like last week.

Guys.... relax about what Coach O says about the starting RB....

He can say whatever he wants. I'm sure he sees the same things we see. We cannot afford to have any RBs sit out the rest of the season, or transfer out.....

We need all available bodies because of injuries and who's available.

Just relax. Kiner will get his carries this weekend.

So, we're a P5 school that hires coordinators who need OJT...brilliant!

My guess is that TDP is better in pass protection and knowing his assignments. THat being said I'd much rather slip the RB out of the backfield as an additional threat.

Through 3 games our RBs have 5 catches for 32 yards. In 2019 RBs caught 80 passes for 645 yards in 15 games. Comparatively if you excluded all of Clyde's catches the 2019 back ups caught the same average per game as the 2021 RBs are right now.

Arnett has the State Defense playing well above their talent level. They play with a lot of energy and they bring the wood.

Would hope so at this point in his career compared to the youngsters. I mean just because TDP starts doesn't mean that Kiner won't have more carries than him. Interested to see how Goodwin looks coming back from that injury.

I agree with the portal creating this issue at running back. He doesn’t want to run TDP off and he probably does do a better job of blocking. However, we can’t roll TDP out there on the first series and watch him get stuffed on the road. It’s like watching a balloon get popped when he gets out there and stumbles around. Honestly, I think the writing is on the wall for TDP and Ed just needs to suck it up and not worry about what happens with him.

TDP does not need to be getting carries when Kiner and Goodwin are already better than him

Its probably partially related to knowing the playbook and all the calls. LF didn't really get it all together until the end of his freshman year.

Fournette was also behind guys averaging above 5 yards per carry so it wasn't exactly a huge need for him to play right away. Right now TDP is at 2.7 ypc while Kiner is at 5.7

He was just joking around because how amazing the true freshman are looking. They had 8-10 dudes who can play WR.

He should have legitimately apoligzed for the OL recruiting or lack thereof

This is an interesting perspective that I hadn't considered.

Along these lines, this is week 4, so after this game, anyone who's played in every game is no longer eligible to redshirt. This should make opting out to transfer and not lose a year of eligibility less appealing.

What makes it worse is that people who never post will show up and start a crap thread with every play that doesn't end up in a TD.
