-Competition Tuesday is today

-Admin was 110% right to get them moved. They're staying at the Hyatt Regency

-Texans gave them the stadium staff very friendly

-Guys are focused and ready to play a great game for the fans

-Practice schedule stayed same. Tell the truth Monday was phenomal; Curfew at 11. Academic folks are on hand.

-Watched the UCLA game live. Chip Kelly did a great job. Played well in all 3 phases of the game.

-Going against the UCLA running game will be a challenge. LSU front is ready to go. Big man vs big man. Pin and pull. Gap control and tackling at the point of attack

-QB is dangerous with his feet. They're running game is better than last year.

-Defense for UCLA is attacking.

-Stingley Jr and Eli Ricks are both good to go. Most of the team is healthy.

-Leaving for UCLA on Thursday after practice. Land in LA on Thursday night.

-Practice Friday in the Rose Bowl. Let them get a feel for it.

-First time back for Coach O since his USC days. Glad to be bringing the Tigers. LA was great to me but nothing like being at home.

-No humidity in LA like South Louisiana. Hester says he could remember finding it easier to run when he was with the Chargers. Should be 81 for game time.

-Tackling and taking care of the football are the main goals for this game.

-Match the speed of the game with practice this week

-O's mom is in Beaumont he didn't tell her they were in Houston because she'd come in to try to coach the team

-John David Booty said he will be at the Rose Bowl cheering on the Tigers.

Going to be all about whether the LBs are improved in this one. UCLA won’t push around this DL but LBs still have to fill gaps and make tackles; if they play like last year, UCLA may have 350 yards on the ground.

You have to think this will be a pretty big advantage for LSU. It's going to feel like heaven after practicing all summer in swamp arse conditions.

Right? I feel like I have not heard him this energized and excited in a while (not implying he's been unenergized and unexcited but he sounds good)

Y’all think we got all new players on the DL? It’s the same guys plus more depth. Not sure why you think they magically became dominant. Good isn’t great.

No I think on the inside we have two guys (Roy and Evans) that are going to be in their second year of contributing which should create a jump in play, we have a 5th year senior (Farrell) that opted out of camp last year so he should be in better shape, and we have the most physically gifted freshman DT (Smith) that we have gotten since maybe Dorsey.

On the outside, we have two 5th year senior DEs (Anthony and Gaye) that are both going into their second year of contribution that should be better against the run and are already proven as pass rushers. We also have one of the best pass rush specialists in the country in Ojulari.

I think lack of experience, poor LBer play, and the cluster frick that was Pelini caused a lot of the issues last year and it sounds like most of it has been cleaned up. We will see on Saturday though.
