NOLA, Nashville, and Orlando are all on the table now, according to Ross Dellenger with The Advocate.

If Orlando is all of the sudden in play, that makes me believe it's the front runner IF Nola is ruled out.

A good choice in venue with direct flights from most anywhere and plenty of hotels just past their summer busy season available.

I don't see why Nashville is in play.

If Harvey is going further east than projected, yes. #ThanksMitch

Flights from MSY to Orlando on 9/1-9/3 are pretty cheap, ranging from $117-300 at first glance. Nashville's lowest is $500.

Ross just tweeted that officials making the decision are trying to gauge Jacksonville's interest, too, but the stadium officials have not returned correspondence yet.

I think he meant to inquiring journalists, not necessarily the people who matter.

Orlando will be out of harm's way, and I'm sure it would help that it's not an NFL stadium in terms of getting it ready to go.

There'd be like 20,000 people tops at the game tho

But ESPN doesn't care about game attendance

Jacksonville folks take the position the game should be played in Gainesville or not at all.

I don't think any of the non Utah or LA alternatives would have over 20,000 people. The South Carolina game had 42,000 with more notice IN Baton Rouge.

No reason Dallas isnt the choice. Cotton Bowl or Jerry World Monday night. Easy solution and weather will be fine.
