I was friends with parents of a 4 star recruit under Miles and they said they were constantly lied to and deceived by Les.

I’m sure you’re right and there’s no getting away from that. A coach can’t play every player, but every player’s mom thinks he should.

Same player said that was only for the media. When addressing the team Les never had that odd phrasing, etc.

Do you believe that the incoherent rambling to the reporters at half time of games was planned? I genuinely liked Les the person, but . . . C'mon man!

Two reasons I tend to doubt the meetings with media were all planned. One, Les would have to be very intelligent to pull it all off and fool everyone.

And no 2, LSU players use to laugh when discussing Les Miles’odd way of explaining things to them. Was that an act too?

If O doesn't show the ability to make that next step quickly he will suffer the same fate.

in what way does O not show the ability to make that next step? Are you talking about opening it up and passing more on offense or something like that?

Look for Alleva to extend him after this season.

This would not be a good business decision. He wants to be here. Win titles and you get rewarded, this is how it is supposed to work.

Nobody is really asking you to pass final judgement now, but some major kuddos to coach O for getting LSU ready to play in a major storm would certainly seem appropriate.

As in this instance. LINK /

Orgeron's ability to motivate has never been questioned.
His ability to manage and implement a successful football program strategy with capable personnel has not be proven by Orgeron anywhere.
Performance has been good since Troy in his first season, but there are concerns about this first recruiting class (yes, I know he was HC when last years class was signed, but most of its commitments were there when he became interim.)

Not a knock against the last regime, but I think alot of people forget how lethargic our team use to look in November after the annual Bama loss. I am impressed that CEO is able to keep his guys motivated from start to finish of the season. Improvement.

While there is certainly some truth to that, it is also true that Arkansas is much much worse than they have typically been. And while losing to Bama has typically been accompanied by the low of being knocked out of the national title hunt, this team has had since the Troy game in early October to come to grips with it.

O's biggest error this season was pulling back on the practices too much. The team took too long to be primed and it showed at Ms St. The Troy loss is on the players but I don't think that one happens if they were more hardened in the off season.
I'd hope he approaches spring/pre-season a little differently next season given we open with The U.

we opened the game with a long td on 2nd or 3rd play that was called back on a terrible call...who knows how that game goes without that bullshite call. Young teams have trouble on the road in sec.

Idk why fans think it's easy to implement a new offense and terminology. Also had to use freshmen on the line. Dline was depleted. It's not a process that is without some transition. Look at what happened to Clemson when their qb got knocked out...a few key injuries can change a team...add FSU to that.

I didn't say he doesn't show the ability. I stated "if" he doesn't.

I'm talking about being a serious contender for the SEC championship. I gave LSU credit for playing a strong game vs Bama and if we had a better passing game we would have had a very real shot at winning. Next season we have the talent at QB. Raw, but the talent is there. We get Bama at home. Expectations are higher for year 2. It's as simple as that.

He's on the hot seat next year. That pretty much goes for every SEC coach not named Saban. It's the nature of the beast.

That is really, really hard to believe.

Makes me doubt everything that player source of yours says.

Top, do you understand that it is very different in showing up with someone else's talented team and winning, on the one hand, and developing, implementing and sustaining one's own football program, on the other?
His record on the latter is not good.

This can be done in 3 years? at Ole Miss? Nutt seemed to benefit from O's recruiting because he did well for 2 years before falling back to ...well being ole miss

Victoria Secret models are acceptable. LSU Golden girls are acceptable. The only trouble I have is, will they accept me.
