Orgeron previews 2019 season and football season
YOUTUBE

O started off by mentioning Delpit, Burrow, and Cushenberry. 100% of team volunteered to practice on their own. Great support staff and happy about Scott Woodward. Mentions Woodward's recruiting presence. Increase in staff helps to break down film and scout. Coaches usually recruit and while they are on the road, assistants do film breakdown. Help identify problem formation, plays, etc.

Month of June staff took no days off. Participated in 10 camps, official visits, recruiting, game planning for the season. Ran out of 2 pt plays in Texas A&M game lol. Giving Moffitt lots of credit. O called him a head coach. Lots of new conditioning. O said he went into weight room and Moffitt had players pushing weight that was 95% of their maxes.

Gonna move to a more attacking dline instead of reacting/read. Fehoko weighs 288, Apu "slim" 360, gonna try to get him down to 350 for camp, Shelvin is ~340. When asked about where improvement needs to happen, O said both sides of LOS. Cant always use TE and RB for protection. Dline gave up too many rush yds/game last season.

Expects/wants lots of leaders to step up. Recruiting class strong so far. Still wants more offensive line, good dline with "more to come". Need 1-2 LBers. Trusts McMahon with special teams.

Nutrition center gonna be good. Chef that has worked/works with Seahawks cooking food. John Robinson is O's mentor from USC and is also a friend. Mentions Robinson's wife is a big LSU fan and are moving back to Baton Rouge. O asked for him to join the staff

Gave a shoutout to Derek P LOL

Yeah don’t say things like that in public. You’ll scare people.

TYLER, have discipline, young man. Your team is counting on you. You could become a legend if you'll stay disciplined. You need to be 330 at most.

Not new news, but CFB is has become the 24/7/365 job like the NFL.

Happy to see the commitment the athletic dept is making to the program with expanded assistants and recruiting resources/camps.

With Shelvin still having his weight down it looks like The light finally we came on, and he’s dedicated can’t wait to watch him this year! Especially with Ika pushing him the Nose tackle rotation is finally going to be fun to watch

Improvement needs to happen on the LOS. Yikes. I hope it has at least improved some already.

Let's hope this isn't true.

It's what I expect. Dline still has people recovering from surgeries/injuires and Oline has to pick up new scheme. Fall camp is where everything should be ironed out.

So basically how it has been except rule changes to allow more staff members.

This is all great. Show it in the games.

He hasn't done a bad job, but he's pretty fricking good at saying the things that should be done.

Win the division.

Increase in shadow staff was the main point. He's also just reinforcing what needs to get better. Mentioned dline rotation and that should keep guys fresh. Of course he has to show it in games. He makes a living by winning. Let's hope he has truly changed the offense and just not Les Miles'd us.

That's my issue. We are banking our hopes off a Saint's assistant. ..

Things have really changed for this program.

It's MORE of a 24/7/365 job than the NFL. In the NFL once the season ends coaches aren't out recruiting all off-season. Obviously there is the draft and mini-camps, but there is a about a 5-6 month period where coaches aren't confined to their offices.

In CFB recruiting never ends. It is a 24/7/365 job. And the in-season work is arguably just as grueling as the NFL. The only difference is a shorter season in CFB
