I hope this is not true. He announced his intent to transfer on May 8, 2018. If the offense is designed for him that means our OC wasted 5 months and an entire spring practice unless he knew in January that Burrow was transferring, which is unlikely.

Say LSU wins ten games, including beating Saban's Alabama, then coach O recruits a top 5 class. That's overcoming a lot. That's LSU beating Ala, and either Ga or Aub with a new offense!

Burrow should definitely recognize the spread offense play concepts though they are probably labeled differently at LSU.

Showing that he could do that would obviously inspire hope, shut up critics like me and show that O can drive this program to success.
By the same token if he fails to meet this goals wouldn’t that show that he’s lacking and not the man for the job?
