Is this your opinion or do you have some source you can cite?

truss,

only real change I would make is swap Jobert and Nippolt. .260 and 18 HRs are not what I would consider a "second lead off" type of guy in that 9 hole.

You should indicate that in your thread title.

Would be surprised to not see Jones as your DH. I think Jobert starts in left over Pearson.

Won't be long now.

With righty on the mound in Game 1 I can see him giving Beloso that start at DH that he earned last year before injury and then you can go Jones against the lefty on Sat

Gonna be hard to keep him out of the lineup. Maybe they give the nod to Beloso for opening day tho

Not when he is pitching.. honestly he nay not DH much as theyve said they are much more concerned with keeping him ready to pitch.

His value to our team as a Friday night stud>>>>> as a DH. We have plenty of bats

I would put my best get on base guys in the 1 and 2 spots, and put Crews in the 3 hole. You want your best hitter up with ducks on the pond.

I know that the earlier you put a guy up in the lineup, the more likely he is to get more at bats. There is that trade off here. But as a practical matter, the three hole hitter usually gets as many at bats as the one and two hole hitter.

I like Morgan leading off. After him, I would pick the player with the best on base percentage, who is not necessarily the guy who has the best batting average. Guys who get walks and make pitchers throw extra pitches are super valuable early in the lineup.

With Crews in the 3 hole and runners on base, the ability of Crews to hit the ball hard and put in play puts so much pressure on the defense, particularly with White behind him at clean up.
