I can’t believe there is no mention of this, or very little. Our basketball has two major problems. One, they don’t guard the three point line, or rather over the three point line and two, they don’t box out. They don’t even seem to attempt to box out. They give up offensive rebounds by the dozens. These are the two biggest problems. Can’t compete against great teams with those deficiencies. Probably too late to fix. Defense is about attitude.

Good observation. There has been very little talk about LSU defending the 3.

Ole Miss was 6-19 from 3 tonight and 24 hit some stupid contested shots. Weird thread considering we defended the three better than we have all year.

You gotta love the experts coming out in the postseason to tell us what’s going on with the team

Ole Miss did miss some wide open threes but LSU's goal was to stop the big man inside and they kinda did that. When you double team a big man like that, there's always a guy waiting for the pass ready to shoot the three.

God, SHUT UP

You people who show up out of fricking nowhere. LSU just beat a good Ole Miss team and got their A game and showed up and won. Meanwhile teams all over the country lose to lesser competition. LSU just nutted up, fought through all kinds of shite and still won.

Ole Miss is one of the best teams in the country rebounding, few do it as well. They didn't even shoot well from 3. They were 6 of 19 and it was because Joyner got enfuego and made a couple of ridiculous shots.

Like...you people, man

You critique the team for allowing a team to shoot 31.9% from 3. Jesus, I don't even get what y'all want

Uhhh. Wade literally said this week that when our season ends it will be because of this.

Just because you don’t pay attention doesn’t mean “no one is talking about it”

Our perimeter defense is actually okay. Not elite, but good enough. Where our defense really suffers is in transition. When a team gets a rebound and heads up court, we are bad in those scenarios. If we can stop the ball and set up our defense, we do alright. We are not a good defensive rebounding team, either, and that hurts us for sure. These are things you can overcome at a reasonable rate of success by being phenomenal offensively, which we are. When we lose however, it is most often due to these specific deficiencies. We're a good team. Not elite.

Very late in the game we could not get a defensive rebound

That would have put the game away but we gave them second chance points to stay in the game
