One thing that will without a doubt change the offense.

Miles will always be conservative. That will never change.

Harris has improved as well. But many throws leave our receivers out into oncoming traffic.

It's not about giving him more throws, it's about proving he can make the throws he's given. He really impressed me against Florida.

An area where Miles could improve is by involving our TEs , but I won't hold my breathe.

Thankfully, I believe Miles trusts Harris at this point.

Looking forward to a great season

Why does it need to change?

The offense always had the advantage.

People including myself always wondered why Les could not develop QBs as fast or as good as other schools, that question was answered earlier this year when Miles stated prior to this year the offensive practice reps were split something like 30 pass plays to 70 running plays.

If Miles doesn't change the emphasis to practicing more passing plays our qbs will continue to progress at a snails pace.

This added to the fact that Les recruits QBs who haven't practiced a pro style offense in HS shows why the learning curve is so slow for Les Miles QBs

The playbook won't change but maybe the plays that are called and when they are called will change. I expect to see a few more passes on first down and more of Fournette and Guice on the field at the same time. With better execution, the offense will be fine.

the coaches never tell him to do that. there are no plays in the play book like,
lead the receiver so when he touches the ball the safety knocks him down so hard, he thinks he's in Oz.

that's all on Harris.

They are involved. They knock people down so that the best running back in America can roll up yards.

Exactly. Harris can improve .

I'd settle for Miles just not trying to shoehorn Harris into being a pocket passer. It's obvious Harris is much better when he is mobile. He makes better decisions and is more accurate on the run than he has ever been just sitting in the pocket.

so slow
I don't think that would even begin to express how little development our QB's year after year show . In fact, I think there was a slide in understanding the game, or how to manage one most of the time . I fear we'll never have a dominant QB until Miles is gone

Listening to the interviews with Myles Brennan that I have heard, this is about to change.

Do you think Brennan will get the start after Zharris is gone?

And where did that get you last year sir? Was that your kind of season? If that season is repeated this year are you satisfied?

What I got last year and the year before that and the year before that and............
was the knowledge that bitching like a school girl on an internet message board has absolutely no effect on what happens on the football field.
I also got from all of those years was that the professionals running the LSU football program know a whole lot more than I and all of the Ranters combined.
My degree of satisfaction has no bearing on events I can't control.
