You can't convince me that if our offense stays pathetic, that aTm won't start cherry picking our top offensive players, along with Bama.

I'm not fully jumping on the aTm bandwagon, but they do have an offense that appeals to recruits, an SEC atmosphere, and it's close to home. Name one advantage LSU has over aTm besides location. You can't.

If LSU doesn't get better, recruits will be more than happy to play for aTm. Sure, some will go to Bama or UF or whoever else is doing great, but the ones who want to be close to home will stay with aTm.

I'm pretty sure Jarvis Landry regrets comign here already. That dude could be a fricking star elsewhere. I'm highly doubtful that Leonard Fournette comes here.

It is a shame that 16 year old kids often have more perspective than fans.

It's ONE game. No need to hop of the bridge yet. I repeat ONE game.

I've never heard a recruit's parent say about LSU "it's just a weird place for black ppl"

I realize that arse, but our bad offense has been since the end of 08. That, my friend is a fricking trend.

You mean to tell me that you don't think our offensive players in teh state would not want to play for a school with a major SEC atmosphere, a high octane offense, and it's close to home?

you're being stubborn if you don't see them as a threat.

You don't know what you're talking about. It's setting up nicely for him to be the man here. Miles is focusing solely on him as the premier RB recruit for the 2014 class. If there are any positions on the offensive side of the ball where a recruit can excel is the RB position.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Sumlin being black helps take that stigma away a little.

Besides it worked for them in the 90s.

Man, I know. But you don't think that recruits are noticing this offense is garbage? I would be in the ear of every Louisiana offensive recruit if I was Sumlin.

ATM will start getting LSU recruits simply b/c they are in the sec and kids who are talented enough to play in the sec can now stay home and play.

Really? our RBs have not been featured and have had to share carries. OR, they have a big gain adn then they mysteriously fricking disappear under Miles and don't get a carry the rest of that game.

This is about the only reason why ATM will steal a LSU recruit. ATM will not walk inside the state of LA and steal a premier recruit. Only Saban will be able to do that.

Why do you think that's not possible?

Seriously, why?

A&M has everything LSU can offer in regards to premier conference, atmosphere, and location is just a little bit farther from home.

I"m not saying it's going to happen, but if our offense doesn't have a major turn around with a new OC next year and Sumlin's keeps humming along, then why wouldn't an offensive LA recruit want to play for a man who's the same color as him with an awesome offense close to home?

WTF does this have to do with anything

Leonard Fournette will not go to ATM. I can promise you that. LSU is sitting pretty with Fournette.

Here's the truth: most recruits have a very specific idea of where they want to play and who they want to play for. Tim Tebow always wanted to play for Florida, and short of Jesus Christ himself telling him to go elsewhere, nothing was really going to sway his decision.

Some recruits and/or their families are smart enough to realize that playing for a certain coach or on a certain team will give them an advantage. Most aren't interested in playing for USC if they have been raised an LSU fan or something. These are 18-year-old kids. When I was recruiting in the Lawton Room you could always tell who had an allegiance coming in or not - whether to LSU or somewhere else. It's like an election: there are very few real undecideds.

If I'm an elite offensive player, I would not come to go to waste at LSU. I would bring my talents elsewhere and maybe they would actually get utilized effectively.
