When I listen to his radio show and other interviews I realize how humble he is and how arrogant Miles had become. Not to say Miles was a bad guy because we all know that's not true. I just think the success he had early on made him complacent and he seemed to respond to his doubters in the wrong way. CEO may or may not be our guy but he sure seems to know how to handle a situation.

He wants this job so badly. With everything he says and does, it's so apparent, like a puppy whimpering for a treat.

Or as another former head football coach at LSU would say, "It's time to move on, got it?!?!?"

We haven't even hired a new permanent coach yet. Of course people are gonna be talking about our last head coach. Deal with it

He's a Louisiana guy. I think his whimpering as you call it is genuine and he has humility.

I didn't mean that as a knock on him. Just an illustration.

I think Chicken should create a safe space board for all of the people who are still offended by Les Miles critisms and comparisons.

If this board was offended by Miles and what he did as a HC. Wait until we hire CEO as the HC. This board will be in a meltdown with criticism.

Why are you so convinced he would fail? You don't think he learned from the Ole Miss experience? What if he beats Saban this year? Would that be enough?

Listen man. I'm not convinced at all he would fail.

All I want him to do is to go to a smaller school such as ULL, UL Monroe. Build those teams up and show he has what it takes to make LSU into a championship level football team. I would be all in on CEO.

Building a team is much more than just taking over mid season and coaching. It involves hiring assistants, x's and o's, recruit, discipline, be able to do much more than what I listed.

I just want to see coach o is able to do that first then i'm all in. Don't just throw in there next year .Being a HC is a year round job. Being a D-LINE coach isn't.

That is my reasoning. Not saying he will fail but I need to see he can handle one of the top 5 jobs in CFB.

Yeah, right. You meant that as a compliment. Everyone, let's support our whimpering puppy coach and kick some arse. So exactly how did you mean it then?

One game should define the entire hiring process?

So will a win vs. Ole Piss have any value?

Btw he wasn't just DL coach he was the recruiting coordinator also. I'm sure all the coaches are very much involved all the time just like the HC is. Being HC at a smaller school still doesn't guarantee anything. If he beats bama or competes with em and we win the rest he's going to be hired to be prepared lol well unless we get Herman in here.

The problem is that people keep pointing to the things Miles did wrong as a reason to keep Coach O. We shouldn't be hiring the next head coach because of what Les did wrong. So yeah, I'd say we should forget about Les' weaknesses and hire the guy who is the best candidate for the job.

Sure in the end, that could end up being Ed, but we shouldn't be grading him on a curve based on what Miles did.
