There was bad chemistry on that team, and Shaq was raw. Dale never was able to get CJ and the big boys to play well together.
The Georgia Tech team that beat us that particular year was pretty darn good and made the Final Four. They were the only team competitive with a UNLV team that blew out Duke by 30 in the title game.
I think more disappointing were the talented teams in '84 and '85 that got drubbed in the first round, or Shaq's sophomore season when 11-seed UCONN blasted us in the first round and then mimmicked our teams post-game celebration dance.
