Ole Miss offense will be similar to Louisiana Tech's but with better players

Our defense better fix the holes and come out swinging, because Ole Miss' offense is legit. They play up-tempo, spread the ball around, attack holes the defense gives them, have upper echelon talent at WR, and have a very athletic QB that will extend plays with his feet.

Their defense is historically bad, so we may need to just out score them in this game.

Ole Miss is 10th in the country in pass/yards a game (La Tech 14th. They are 14th in overall passer rating and 22nd in overall scoring offense.

Bottom line... our offensive scheme has to improve. We cant keep counting on our D to get us out of a bind. We've lost some key players on defense and that will continue if they're forced to play most of the game.

Osminger has to figure out how to keep their offense on the field and sustain drives.

Hell, open try outs for WRs who can run 7 yards and catch simultaneously

I think the defense will show up Saturday. However, if LSU's offense can't move the ball and score big against Ole Miss we are in serious trouble. They have one of the worst defenses I've ever seen.

We have a hard time scoring. Defensive turnovers and great field position have covered up our deficiencies.

Will the step up in talent be greater than the step up in focus that our defense will naturally have because it's an SEC opponent?

If it is, we're in trouble. If it's not, we'll be okay. It will be an ugly win for us, but that's not going to be the defense's fault.

I think Orgeron puts a little more emphasis on this game for obvious reasons, so that might help this week.

I also think Aranda is furious and will not sleep this week trying to fix the issues.

I just think they're going to score 24-30 points on us and we're going to have to outscore them. Of course, there is always the change Aranda pulls an Aranda and just dominates them and we shut their asses down. Let's hope for that.

OM is giving up more than 40 points per game.
I expect LSU will prove competitive.

If LSU's pass rush isn't any better than it was vs. Auburn or Tech then Ole Miss is going to get theirs. That offense is no joke, especially when Taamu has time in the pocket.

Ball control. TOP, gotta have it. A turnover here and there will help.

Removing the LSU game, Southeastern is giving up 38 a game to a much easier schedule.

We scored 31 and looked horrible.

We need our effort from the Auburn game to re-emerge.

Well lets hope we don't play that soft zone bullshite that allowed Smith to torch us for 330...

Exactly.

I assume Aranda is just looking at the Bama tape and will try to replicate that.

Agree

I’m not going to expect this offense to dominate anyone. Hopefully they can continue to just do enough. Maybe putting it all together eventually.
