I find it odd all the recruits want to put on full pads for photo op

Seems common all recruits all schools

Also I have no problem with it. Just can envision it being something I would want

You can’t imagine being a high school football player and getting to put an LSU uniform on for a day?

Did you play football? Because I can definitely put 17 year old me in that situation and be all about it.

In highschool I played

17year old me would love the trip and be honored. Would have no desire to put on full pads and jersey.

I am introverted maybe that plays in

Why imagine yourself in a potential schools uniform when you can actually wear it on your recruiting trip.

Id pay good money to be able to put a full uniform on decked out down to the cleats and helmet and just be able to step on tiger stadium grass with my cleats like it was game day. Would be so cool.

Thats just me though.

I don't know about that, but I've always had a thing about holding trophies I played no part in winning.

Seeing is believing. Put on the purple and gold and see what it looks like to be a Tiger. I would do it in a heartbeat if I were a recruit.

I’m with the OP on this. When I was 17 I would have said, “No thanks.” I’m not being critical of those who do (and neither was the OP).

You and the OP lack emotional awareness/sales in recruiting.

They don’t just throw out the offer and say take or leave. You have to put some pagentry and emotional ties into the initial decision. The logic of all of it comes later, when you realize how lucky you are to be a member of a top program, but early on it’s about the pictures, the OV’s where you see tiger stadium in all its glory, and that pitch with the guy at the top of the empty stadium thinking “I’ll be why they roar one day soon”. That’s a pitch, and you don’t make that image in street clothes. That simple.

I walked through the LSU locker room, touched the Tiger WIN bar on the way out, then made my way onto the LSU field to an empty stadium and it gave me goose bumps and a great feeling..I can only imagine what it’s like to do it with a packed house on a Saturday night…

Why would you commit to a school if you don’t look good in their uniform?

There are a few weird things in the world. Why do baseball managers wear players’ uniforms in the dugout?

There must be a closet full of all the uniform combos with all the numbers.
