Ok I fired off yesterday so I will eat crow

They looked good today…obviously.
My analysis/prediction
1) However far they go will totally be dependent on hitting & hoping defense improves
2) I think they get a regional at BR cause they make a lot of money for the NCAA. From there they have to hit good pitching which they don’t always do the best.

At this point I think a regional host is pretty attainable/reasonable unless we majorly frick up

Hitting is the last thing to worry about, this team will go as far as the pitching allows and it seems that CJJ is dialing in the pitching rotation. Can’t be looking at games as a single game, we have to look at everything from here out as an important series (other than the SEC tourney, of course) and the hitting should be there in a 3 game series. If the pitching continues the way it is I think this team can make a run as long as the errors stay off the board.
What sucks is the fact that Money seems to be in his own head, looks like he gets easily frustrated and almost looked like a child last night. We need him or someone to step up into that role. I was really hoping Grant Taylor to be a stud this year but I’m not sure he’s ready to be a starting pitcher post season but I think he will be very good by the time he leaves.

Uh yeah, that’s not how they select regional host sites.
Very generally-speaking, it basically goes to the top 16 teams in the country. Of which we appear to be, depending on how we finish. We’re right in the 14-20 range right now, depending on the poll/RPI.
