Not sure about an exact number for Jones but there was an article in the Jackson paper with him talking about how great the opportunity to play ball at LSU is. He really talked LSU up iirc.
Judging by his comments, I would guess signability really is an issue with him b/c of his full ride to LSU.

Summary: While Manny Machado in Miami gets most of the buzz regarding high school bats these days, and rightfully so, Jones isn't too far behind. The Mississippi prep product could have a special bat, with plus power. He's got all the tools to stay at shortstop, with good hands and excellent range. Even if he outgrew short, it looks like he might have enough bat to handle a corner position. He's not going to be the first prep position player to go off the board, but he shouldn't have to wait too long to hear his name called.

I had to make it the PG-13 version.

so we pretty much shouldn't have to worry about any guys that haven't been drafted yet signing correct?

just depends on which teams pick them
at this point, not many teams will give guys lucrative signing bonuses.
a team could still pay Jacoby Jones the money he would want. But not many.

Can't wait to read what Adams has to say about todays developments.

It less likely that top end prospects that are still hanging around at this point will sign for less money than what they think they deserved. They can come to LSU and play their way up.

I'll be worried about everyone til the last day to sign passes. No limit on the money they can pay. Still, it's definitely a positive that some of these guys haven't been taken yet.

Jones maintains he's focused solely on attending LSU regardless of where's he's drafted. Jones was ranked No. 77 in ESPN.com's updated Top 100 prospects list from last week, which, for what it's worth, would slot him near the end of the second round. Jones is being advised by Scott Boras, who's well-known for his often-contentious negotiating practices — something that could scare some teams from choosing Jones
"I don’t even know (when I'll be picked)," Jones said before Saturday's Class 3A/2A/1A All-Star game at Trustmark Park. "I haven’t even thought about it. I’m just headed to LSU."
Jones did indicate the Red Sox and Astros have shown the most interest.

As of now we are at 31 on roster with Koeneman already gone...30 if in fact Reidie is already gone. We are for sure losing Bertuccini, Gaudet, Dean so thats 27. I'm also saying that it's pretty certain that Gibbs, Landry & Ross are all gone so that puts us at 24 on roster. With 19 signed for next year's class, if the roster limit is still 35 we would only have to lose 8 to the draft or cuts...7 if Mormann leaves which I think he will. We should be just fine and we shouldn't have to clean house like some people think. I may be wrong but this is just how I figured the numbers!

As I said earlier in this thread. The Sox had like 4 first round picks. #20 overall and 3 supplemental picks. That is going to eat up quite a lot of cash. So they can't willingly deal as freely to the later round picks. Which is why I am somewhat optimistic that we can get Cecchini.
