Looked like the official called it a touchback. He dropped his marker in the endzone, but has to let the play go on since LSU can technically return it at that point.

CFB is crossing the plane = touchback. NFL = has to hit the ground past the goal line.

In college the ball cannot cross the plane, but the player's body can be in the endzone. In the NFL, neither the player or ball can break the plane.
