Offense must be better to have a chance in games 2 and 3, much less have a shot at Omaha.

Hilliard was fantastic tonight. I don't love the decision to pull him and I'm not defending that decision by any means, but that's not the biggest reason we lost. A brain fart on Doughty on 3rd cost at least 1, possibly 2 extra runs against Coleman.

Take away Doughty and Bianco and the other 7 guys are 3/23 with 13 Ks. You won't win many games that way. 4 players were 0-fer and they were responsible for 10 of those Ks. The 3 players following the 2 guys that had 5 hits were all 0-fer. Can't score if you can't hit with guys on.

They just said that the last time Beloso had a hit was a month ago. Time to find a new DH.
