Off The Bench game plan for bama

T-bob and crew are taking about a potential defensive game plan vs bama. They mentioned forcing then to run the ball and taking away the pass with our secondary.
What are your thoughts on what we should do to shut down these gumps?

Our defense is going to smother them. I predict we punch them in the mouth and they won’t recover

There isn’t anyone in America I’d rather have than Dava Aranda in this situation. I’m sure whatever he comes up with will give us the best chance we have to win.

I think you gotta take the run away from them. The secondary can hold it’s on against there receivers. It really comes down to time of possession an not turning the ball over.

3 elite WR’s so it’s Gonna be tough. But if LSU secondary can handle m2m w/ one high S or whatever. Where Devin hurts the most is imo Irv Smith. The first half look for saban to test the Lbers and go to Smith. That’s where we need his instincts

We should just say we need to score 100 points and it won't matter.
That's so simplistic, everyone wants to stop their passing game and look at how it has worked out so far.

It’s very simple. Stop the run and put pressure on Tua. If we give him 3+ seconds In the pocket like Tennessee did we lose big. Basically comes down to their oline vs our d line.

Bama is gonna run the ball on us.
Auburn and Georgia had success running the ball against us but abandoned it once they fell behind.
We will need to get to Tua on passing downs, but he's so good at reading the blitzes and hitting Judey over the middle where the blitz came from it may not matter. We are going to sorely miss White and Chaisson for this game.
We don't need to play with emotion to win this game. We need to play disciplined and eliminate mental mistakes.
Don't over pursue the QB. Don't be 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Go for the tackle, not the big hit. Etc..

The umbrella 3-4 zone blitz defense against Manziel worked well. But yeah I trust Aranda on this one.
