Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry used an LSU Jugs Machine so much they broke it

"They broke a Jugs machine," [Former LSU WR coach Adam] Henry told the Daily News before Beckham and the Giants visited Landry's Dolphins. "They would break into the indoor facility. On Friday nights, when everybody else was going and hanging out, they were there catching footballs."
"There's such a thing as good hands, and there are great hands," Henry said. "But the most important things you can have is confident hands. That's what they built. They built confidence."
"...they were at a distance, they were at angles ... 'What's the most difficult catch I can make, shooting this Jugs machine at an angle, from the ground. How many can I catch across my body with one hand?' So it was always a game to them."
Beckham denies breaking the Jugs machine:
"We just used it til it didn't work anymore," he said.

They must have been sending their body doubles to Bogies.

Prolly worked out for a few hours then went for a few beers.
Odell is on a 65 million dollar contract - Landry's is 75 mil. The extra workouts didn't hurt em any:)

You’re really adamant about the jugs machine

You need more than a damn jugs machine to turn into OBJ and Jarvis Landry.
You need to be not only a million to one type of athlete but a million to one type of person to put in the work ethic to be great. We were lucky to have two at the same time, at the same position for LSU.

Do you have equity in the company that produces Jugs machines or something?

Not NEARLY so adamant as Landry and Odell (and almost every all-pro WR since Raymond Berry)
Too damn many drops in the Spring game. So, so so easily remedied with daily reps.

You can remedy drops without a Jugs machine pal. All you have to have is a desire to do it.

I believe the story but I was at LSU a the same time at them. They had some fun. It was so damn fun watching them.

The fact that Landry and Odell had to break into the equipment room to use the Jugs says something about Mile's program.
I sure hope O, Brady, and E have changed this idiotic blunder!!!

We disagree on most points. But at least your comments are seldom stupid. This comment is blatantly stupid.
Who's going to throw 200 precise passes to 12 WRs every day? You want all the LSU QBs with rag arms by September?

So I'm guessing WRs just had poor skills before Jugs machines?

quote:You don't need to be Beckham or Landry to improve your skill set every day. No excuse for the number of "strike zone" drops we saw in the Spring game. In the regular season, those are drive-killers and can be game-losers.

WRs can get all the daily reps they need in a 30 to 60 minute workout with a machine.
And can a daily 200-reps workout (for years) mean the difference between getting drafted by the NFL and being unemployed after college ball? You're damn right it can!!!
